Before you do this, you just need to realize that it was random that this wiki got picked. They hit a different wiki for the past two days. It's a person that feels that they need to prove they're more of a vandal than can be cleaned up.
While it can seem overwhelming when so many pages are being hit, the fact of the matter is the tools than clean up edits work MUCH faster than a person can vandalize them. If you're very quick, you might be able to attack 6 to 10 pages a minute. Some of the cleanup tools can fix edits about once per second. So, it's at least six times harder to commit vandalism than it is to clean it up.
SmashBros, I saw a message that said you were trying to block them but couldn't. Check my Contributions page. Right underneath the tabs that say "Profile", "Message Wall", etc., you should see the line that says "For RRabbit42 (wall | block | block log | uploads" and a few more options. You'd click on the block link if you needed to block me. Set the "Other time" to "indefinite" to make the block permanent. That's what you can do when you see vandalism taking place, and that will give you time to start the cleanup.
Since this wiki's now been hit, I'll stick around and help out if they come back. Like I said, they probably will because not only are they trying to prove to others they're a vandal, they may be trying to prove it to themselves.
